This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and how long we keep it.

What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and what you ordered.
- Messages: what you send us through our contact and custom request forms, or by email.
- Photos and files: photos you send us (for custom requests, proof approvals or damage reports) and the proof files we make for your custom order.
- Email list: your email address, if you sign up for our mailing list.
- Server logs: your IP address, which our server records when you visit. We keep these logs for 30 days.
Card details go straight to Square. We never see or store your full card number.
If you use the name translator, we keep the English name you type and its suggested Sureth spelling to improve our name list. We do not link names to you or your order.
How we use it
- To take your order, make it and ship it.
- To send order, proof and shipping emails.
- To answer your messages and custom requests.
- To fill in customs forms. Your name, address, the contents and their value go to the carrier and to customs.
- To check that your address is correct before we ship.
- To prevent fraud.
- To keep tax and accounting records.
- To send our marketing emails, only if you sign up.
We don't use your information for anything else, and we only send marketing emails if you sign up.
Where your information is stored
Our website runs on servers in Canada. Square, Resend, Stallion Express, carriers and customs may process your information in Canada, the US or the destination country, under those countries' laws.
How long we keep it
- Orders and payments: we keep order and payment records for 6 years after the end of the tax year, as Canadian tax law requires.
- Messages: contact and custom request messages are kept for 2 years after our last reply. If one turns into an order, it's kept with the order records.
- Email list: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only a record of your consent and unsubscribe date, for 3 years, to prove we followed the law.
- Server logs: 30 days.
Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails if you sign up. Each one clearly says who it's from and includes our mailing address.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email info@lamassu.ca. We stop within 10 business days.
Your requests
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw your consent to how we use it. We'll explain if a request affects an open order, and we keep order and payment records for as long as tax law requires. Just email info@lamassu.ca.
We reply to privacy requests within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
Changes to this policy
If we make a big change, we'll update the date at the top and post a notice on the site. If a change affects how we use information you already gave us, we'll ask you first.
